Principality of Zeon MS-14Fs Gelgoog Marine - Cima Garahau's Custom

Major Cima Garahau - hero of the Lili Marlene and bane of both Zeon and Federation alike. Cima sama uses this suit to literally make swiss cheese of the new Federation suit the RX-78 GP01 Zephyranthes, but meets her death ultimately at the hands of the same pilot flying the RX-78 GP03 Dendrobium.

This is the Bandai High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) 1/144 injection kit of Cima Garahau's customised Gelgoog Marine MS-14Fs Mobile suit from "Gundam 0083 Stardust Memories".

Assembly

The kit is built from the box with the following exceptions:

  • Head Vulcan cannons were repositioned
  • Head antenna was lengthened and sharpened
  • Head fin was made taller
  • The eye opening for the mono eye camera was made narrower with styrene
  • Mono eye camera sticker was replaced with a Wave H eye
  • Top of the chest armour (either side of the head) was raised 1 mm with styrene
  • Front intake below the head was opened up
  • Front chest armour was built out with epoxy putty and larger Wave verniers were added
  • Shoulder tip armour was raised and sharpened
  • Shoulder armour vents were opened up and backed with engraved styrene
  • Forearms were made rounder with epoxy putty
  • Hands were upgraded to B-Club high detail manipulators
  • Backpack antenna was replaced with a Wave J Sensor
  • Rear skirt main boosters were scratchbuilt larger
  • Rear skirt openings and verniers made larger
  • Knee and elbow joints were made round from square with epoxy putty
  • Foot armour was thickened by 0.5 mm with strip styrene and the joint between the heel and forefoot opened up
  • Leg skirts were filled out with epoxy putty
  • Ankle joints were covered with Wave minus molds
  • A Wave H eye was added to the rifle sensor

    Painting

    The kit is painted in custom mixes of Gunze and Tamiya Acrylics. The surfaces were sealed with Humbrol gloss varnish and detailed with oil paints and Tamiya acrylics. The final coat was a Humbrol matt varnish.
