Here is my completed 1/72 Fine Molds Millennium Falcon. I bought this kit
off of ebay when the kit was first released and was amazed by how many
parts that Fine molds decided to include in the kit, over 900 parts. When
placed next to an AMT Falcon there is no comparison in the level of detail
that one gets in the kit. Anyway the this kit was build straight out of
the box with no changed made to it, I know on the boards there are some
inaccuracy but I think it is always best to build a kit straight out the
box first before going ahead and making changes.
After many parts later and a few trips down to the carpet to get a part
that flew off the part tree and into the carpeting I decided to go ahead
and mix a custom light grey mixture and base coat the model. The model was
then sealed and decals were applied and then the fun part began. Most of
the weathering was done with pastels and oils with a little bit of exhaust
airbrushed on the rear of the ship.
