By Joe Brown Scale: 1/14,000 The Liberator was a kilometer long warship that was build by the race known as 'the system'. One of their vessels was seen floating adrift by a Federation Prisoner Transport ship, the London. After several lethally unsucessful attempts to board and seize her, the London's captain sent convicted prisoner Roj Blake and some others to disarm the internal defensive systems, expecting them to fail. However, they suceeded and embarked on a new career, dedicating themselves to overthrowing the evil and corrupt Federation. The Kit: This was an interesting Comet Metal Miniature kit (2.8125 inches long) consisting of the main body/fuselage, and 3 identical pylon-mounted pods. Construction was redictably fast, with a bit of filler needed. There are some mold seams, and the oval cross-sections indicate squeezing of the molds. If you have to have a model of the Liberator, and cannot find the large injection-molded one, then this mini is your last hope, other than scratchbuilding your own!
