The Earth Defense Force Battleship "COLORADO" (SBB-38), is based on the Bandi 1/700 scale model kit of the Andromeda from the Star Blazer series of kits.

• Replaced the gun barrels on the upper three (3) main turrets with tube styrene to provide for a larger caliber gun.
• Added in the panel lines, rivets and portholes down each side of the main hull of the ship.
• Replaced the number three (3) turret with a landing deck. The shuttle craft is made up from 1/700 scale airplane parts and a part from the Deslar's Battle Carrier kit.
• The number three (3) turret was then moved to the underside of the ship.
• Added in three (3) sets of secondary gun mounts to each side of the ship. The first set was added just below turret number one (1), the second set was added between the secondary engines at the rear of the ship, and the third set was added to the underside of the ship just behind turret number three.
• Using additional 1/700 scale ship parts, added various detail parts and smaller gun mounts to the superstructure and underside of the ship.
• Added in twenty-eight (28) missile launch tubes to each side of the ship. Sixteen (16) are located under the superstructure and the remaining twelve are located on the lower portion of the ship.
