Scale: 1/24 The year is 2055 and Hydrogen is the fuel of choice and is being used in converted engines. Antigravity has been achieved and many people have started to convert Classic Automobiles with Hover Conversions. The Hydrogen powered engines run a generator to make the electricity that powers the electric motors in each wheel and the Antigravity systems. The appeal of these vehicles is it sounds and feels like your still driving a classic muscle car. One of the Race types that had been spawned from these technological breakthroughs was a combination of Road/Hover racing. Each race has a combination of road racing with the rubber tires being used and legs over impassable sections with the cars in hover mode. |

The Model: This is the Monogram model of the 1971 Hemi Cuda. I built this for my local IPMS Chapters "Year of Birth" contest. Being a Sci-Fi junkie I had to do something a little different. So I found a 1971 Model car and did this. I used some Tank suspension parts for the Wheel Attachments. The wires are pieces of Solder and pieces of braided wire shielding. The body was painted with Tamiya Lacquers in the Spray can. The finish was definitely the hardest part of this model. I polished after every coat of paint. In the side view you can see the reflections of the wheels on the side of the car. The custom license plate was made in Autocad and printed on an Alps MD-1000 printer.
