Scale: 1/20

What if a great civilization on the verge of an apocalyptic cataclysm built a series of giant computing machines located in remote safe places? What if these machines were provided with autonomous agents, which were intended to help the machines communicate with any surviving humans, to pass the torch of knowledge down to an orphaned generation 1000 years into the future?

What if, in that dark and bloody future the last surviving member of a clan of blood drinkers, mortally wounded, crawled into a dark hole to die and discovered a beautiful shining suit of armor, calling out to him in the darkness?

What if the corrupted soul was too strong for the machine? Much blood would be spilt and the Vampire Lords would rule once again.

The Model

The model is an Academy StarCraft Terran Marine bought from Starshipmodeler.com. This model is pretty cool. The molding is really good; especially the head. The arms and legs are over-simplified in terms of parts breakdown so making a good pose is really hard.

I reposed it a little and made some undercuts in the feet to make them look less molded into the legs. Then I trolled through my Games Workshop spares bin for skulls and stuff. Then I added some big rivets and bolt heads. The chain saw was made from 2 Ork chainsaws glued together.

The paint is Vallejo and it's really really good!! The end result looks like a Warhammer 40K Chaos Marine. I wanted to add some tribal tattoos to the face but at the end I bottled out.
