Robo-Cop died.

Murphy did not survive he last battle with Omni Consumer Products in Robo-Cop III. He was killed by a surface-to-air stinger missile fired by a “Splatter Punk” hired by OCP. But this did not mean that OCP could now simply move ahead with their plans for Delta City. Inspired by the death of Murphy, the rebels, and now the former members of the Detroit Police Department, became an even bigger and more formidable force.

OCP had also created it’s own problems. Arming the “Splatter Punks” created a bigger problem for OCP. With the weapons OCP gave them, and a feeling of legitimacy from OCP, they declared an independent city smack dab in the middle of the Delta City site. It became impossible for the OCP Police force to even enter sections of Detroit.

To deal with the threat OCP was forced to deploy heavily armed patrols. One development is the “Hostile Neighborhood Patrol Car.” This armored patrol car has a remotely operated 7.62 weapon system. It can fire armored piercing or rubber riot control rounds in fully auto or as a single shot sniper weapon. The grenade launchers carry smoke, tear gas or fragmentation grenades.

The model began life as a 1/32 scale “Snap Tite” Ferrari Testa Rosa. I added a bunch of old toy parts, plastic card and modeling putty. The decals are ink jet printed. I took my best shot at making the OCP logo. The story was developed after the model.
