Rebel Alliance Biker Scout |

by Dale Kelly Scale: 1/35Recognizing the effectiveness of Empire's Biker Scouts, the Rebel Alliance developed their own Recon- Speeder Bike. The alliance gave their bike better forward protection for the driver and a more powerful forward firing weapon. This bike is built on a toy motorcycle I bought at a dollar store. I removed the wheels and other parts. The fairing is a combination of the original toy, the front of an AC-130 engine and miliput. The engine is the arm from an old Dorvak model with an exhaust nozzle from a Harrier jump jet. The instrument panel is from the same Harrier model. (No model is safe in my house any more.) The rider and equipment is a combination of 1:35 scale Italeri and Tamiya figure and accessories. The slung weapon is based on a Sterling sub machine gun from Italeri‘s modern light weapons set to try and be close to the Original Star Wars blaster. |

The main weapon and other small parts come from toys and broken telephones.
