Scale: Not stated

With the war being averted in the late 70's, Australia's law enforcement division, the MFP, continued to keep the roadways safe as world-wide unrest continued. Seeking to save their best Interceptor, Max Rocketanski, from burning out completely, they sent him and his family to Europe to train the Pursuit and Interceptor squadron. The Autoban was as turbulent as the rest of the world. To aid him, and inspire the officers under him, the presented Max with their newest prototype; the V-12 Interceptor. Little did they know this would be the last they would make before their world fell apart. Max's wife and child were killed front of his very eyes in the in first wave of destruction.

Stranded in a foreign land, with no way to go home, and no one to go home to, Max took it all out on those unfortunate enough to break his laws on the road. In the nomad villages that sprung up in the aftermath of the war his name was whispered like a ghost, the name of Mad Max.

The Model

To give it model the same tone as the Mad Max Interceptor, while adding a more modern feel, I used a Lamborghini Diablo kit, heavily modified into the ultimate Urban Assault Vehicle. The gun and venting was made from sheet and tube styrene and bits from the scrap bin. The bash guard is wire and mesh. All of the police lights very taken from old Patlabor models. The model was roughly weathered to give it more of the look of the Interceptor in The Road Warrior. All of the lettering was done using dry transfer decals. The model was painted black with acrylic paints.
